Ingredients:
  • (1) 8-count roll Crescent rolls
  • 1/8 cup + drizzle Olive oil
  • 1/4 tsp Garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp + sprinkle Italian seasoning
  • 1 cup Frozen spinach
  • 1 tsp Garlic, minced
  • 1 cup shredded Italian blend cheeses (Kraft 5 Cheese Italian used here)
  • 1/2 cup Pizza sauce (Contadina used here)
  • 1 Roma tomato
  • 1 tsp Grated Parmesan
  • Choice of additional toppers:
    • Fully-cooked turkey meatballs (used here)
    • Pepperoni and sauteed mushrooms
    • Ham and pineapple
    • Tri-color bell peppers and onions
Directions:
  1. Per directions on crescent rolls, heat oven (should be ~375*F).
  2. Spray a baking sheet with non-stick spray.
  3. Open crescent rolls and arrange as a crust inside pan, pressing together each piece.
  4. In a small bowl, combine 1/8 cup olive oil, 1/4 tsp garlic powder, and 1/4 tsp Italian seasoning. Brush onto the crescent roll crust.
  5. Bake crust for about about 10 minutes, or until it's starting to turn golden brown.
  6. While crust is baking:
    1. In a hot pan, saute frozen spinach with 1 tsp minced garlic in olive oil
    2. Cut tomatoes into thin slices
    3. Cook/ prep any other toppers
  7. When crust has almost cooked through and is golden, remove from oven and pour on the sauce - distributing evenly and leaving about 1" on all sides. Then layer on the remaining toppers:
    1. 1/4 cup shredded cheese
    2. Roma tomato slices
    3. 1/4 cup shredded cheese
    4. Turkey meatballs or additional toppers
    5. 1/4 cup shredded cheese
    6. Sauteed spinach
    7. 1/4 cup shredded cheese
  8. Sprinkle pizza with Italian seasoning and 1tsp grated Parmesan cheese.
  9. Return pizza to oven and bake for 5 minutes or until toppers are heated and cheese has melted.
  10. Additional option ~ After baking for a few minutes, I finished the pizza under the broiler (this will make the cheese bubbly/ golden in spots).
  11. Once desired result is met, remove from oven and allow to cool for ~5 minutes; Slice into 6 large pieces.
